National Credit Ratings Limited (NCR) has assigned Karnaphuli Insurance Company Limited its highest long-term credit rating of “AAA”, citing the insurer’s strong creditworthiness.
The rating agency also assigned the company a short-term rating of “ST-1” and maintained a stable outlook, according to a disclosure posted on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Tuesday.
The surveillance rating was based on Karnaphuli Insurance’s audited financial statements as of 31 December 2025.
An “AAA” rating represents the highest level of long-term credit strength, while an “ST-1” rating indicates a strong capacity to meet short-term financial obligations.
Shares of Karnaphuli Insurance closed 2.08 per cent higher at Tk54 on Tuesday, up from Tk52.90 in the previous session.
