The deceased was identified as Kawsar Hawlader, 37.
Another Jubo Dal activist Rashed Amin, was critically injured in the attack.
Wazirpur Model Police Station Officer-in-charge (OC) Rakibul Islam confirmed the incident.
According to police, the incident took place at around 9:30pm on Friday when Kawsar, Rashed, and several fellow party activists were conversing on a bridge in the Paschim Satla area along the Wazirpur–Kotalipara border.
