Bangladeshi singer Imran Mahmudul has completed 18 years in the country’s music industry.
His professional musical journey began on 31 August 2008, when he became the first runner-up in the Channel i Sera Kontho competition.
Since then, he has established himself among listeners with one song after another.
Early in his career, Imran recorded songs for albums. He later became a regular performer on YouTube and in film music.
Alongside singing, he has also worked as a composer and music director.
He has drawn particular attention for his duet songs with Kona and Konal. He has also performed with many singers of the current generation.
The National Film Award-winning artist is currently on a music tour of the United States.
He has been performing at programmes in different states across the country.
Reflecting on his 18-year journey, Imran Mahmudul said, “Exactly 18 years ago, my formal journey in the media began when I became the first runner-up in the Channel i Sera Kontho competition. That small dream from that day has now become a remarkable journey of 18 years.”
“Over these 18 years, I have received countless songs, stages, successes, failures, love, disappointments and thousands of memories. But my greatest achievement has been the love of my listeners and audience,” he said.
He added, “These 18 years are not the end. They are only the beginning of another new chapter. As long as I have a voice to sing, I want to continue singing. And I want to travel this journey with your love.”
Among Imran’s popular songs are Tumi Dure Dure, Diyechi Toke Dil, Aaj Bhalobasho Na, Bolte Bolte Cholte Cholte, Anmona, Ore Jaan, Jonmo Jonmo, Ami Nei Amate, Jani Parbo Na, Eto Bhalobashi, Bolo Sathiya and Ghum Ghum Chokhe.
