The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Wednesday fixed 22 June for the submission of the investigation report in a case involving alleged crimes against humanity committed in Narsingdi during the July mass uprising.

Prosecutor Gazi MH Tamim appeared for the prosecution and sought a two-month extension, citing progress in the ongoing investigation. The ICT approved the request after hearing the submission.

On the same day, three arrested accused were produced before the tribunal from jail custody.

They are former assistant commissioner (Land) and executive magistrate Saiful Islam, then additional superintendent of police Anirban Choudhury, and Rabiul Islam.

Saiful Islam filed a bail petition, which the tribunal fixed for hearing on April 29.
