Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, one of television’s most recognisable young faces, is set to visit Dhaka for the first time; an appearance that reflects both her surging cross-border popularity and Bangladesh’s increasing appeal as a stage for South Asian celebrities.
Invited by Sunsilk Bangladesh as part of its promotional campaign for the newly launched Black Shine formula, Hania will take part in a series of brand events during her stay. Though the exact date of her arrival has yet to be confirmed, anticipation is already building among Bangladeshi fans who have followed her career through hit dramas such as ‘Mere Humsafar’, ‘Dilruba’, ‘Anaa’ and ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’.
The actress herself fanned the excitement with a video message shared on Sunsilk Hair Expert BD’s official Facebook page on Monday. Greeting her Dhaka audience with a smile, she teased: “Hi Bangladesh, I’m Hania. Guess what? I’m coming to Dhaka with Sunsilk. See you all soon!”
Hania’s career began with the 2016 film ‘Janaan’ and in less than a decade she has established herself as one of Pakistan’s most bankable television stars. Her influence has since stretched beyond borders and her dramas have earned loyal viewership in Bangladesh, while her Bollywood debut in ‘Sardaarji 3’ widened her South Asian fan base.
Now, her Dhaka visit adds another layer to her growing cross-border presence, symbolising the increasingly shared cultural space between Pakistan, Bangladesh and India.
For fans in Dhaka, however, the excitement is far simpler: a chance to welcome Hania Aamir in person for the very first time.
