Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain (Kaikobad) told parliament on Tuesday that steps will be taken to reduce the cost of the Hajj package for 2027.
The minister said Hajj operations for 2026 are in their final stage following the announcement of the package, with expenses for both Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh phases already paid.
He added that visa processing has been completed in line with the Saudi timeline and Hajj flights are scheduled to begin on 18 April.
He was responding to a question from treasury bench member Lutfur Rahman (Cox’s Bazar‑3).
