The price of gold in Bangladesh has fallen once again, with the Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (Bajus) announcing a fresh reduction on Saturday.
According to a Bajus statement, the price of 22-carat gold, considered the highest quality, has been lowered by Tk2,683 per bhori (11.664 grams), bringing the new rate to Tk262,265 per bhori.
The revised price took effect from 10am on Saturday.
The association said the adjustment reflects a decline in the price of pure gold (acid gold) in the local market and takes into account the overall market situation.
Bajus urged consumers and traders to follow the new rate while conducting gold transactions.
Earlier, on Friday, Bajus had also cut gold price by Tk2,158 per bhori. Following, the adjustment, the price of 22-carat gold had been set at Tk264,948 per bhori.
