Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Rishad Hossain and Parvez Hossain Emon have returned home after finishing their Pakistan Super League campaign. They arrived in Dhaka together from Pakistan on Sunday morning.
Nahid Rana and Shoriful Islam will stay back for one more match. They officially received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board for the extended stay for the gane.
The Bangladesh players were first cleared to play in the PSL until April 12. All of them were set to return together. But Peshawar Zalmi have a match on April 13. So Nahid and Shoriful asked for two more days and got approval.
Peshawar Zalmi will face Multan Sultans at the National Stadium in Karachi on Monday night. The team is in great form. They sit at the top of the table with nine points from five matches. They have four wins and one no result.
Tanzid was also part of the Peshawar squad. But he did not play any of the five matches. The left handed opener returned home with the others as planned.
Now back in Bangladesh, Tanzid, Rishad and Mustafizur will prepare for the ODI series against New Zealand. Parvez is not part of that squad. He had leave until April 21. But he picked up a shoulder injury and had to leave the PSL early.
Parvez will now stay under the care of the Bangladesh Cricket Board medical team. They will decide when he can return to the field.
