Former Attorney General and veteran lawyer Md Salauddin Ahmed has passed away in Dhaka at the age of 77.
Family sources said, “Salauddin breathed his last while undergoing treatment in the ICU of the city’s Square Hospital in the early hours of Sunday.”
His namaz-e-janaza is scheduled to be held at the Supreme Court premises following Zohr prayers.
Salauddin served as the Attorney General of Bangladesh from 13 July 2008 until 12 January 2009.
He pursued higher education abroad, completing a BSc in Economics at the London School of Economics in 1969.
He later obtained a MA degree from the University of London in 1970 and went on to earn an LLM from Columbia Law School in 1984.
