England manager Thomas Tuchel has left out Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Jude Bellingham from his latest squad, announced on Friday, ahead of an international friendly against Wales and a World Cup qualifier against Latvia during the upcoming international break.
Foden has shown a strong start to the season for Manchester City, registering two goals and two assists, while Grealish impressed for Everton, winning a Premier League Player of the Month award and contributing four assists. Despite their form, both players have been omitted from the national squad.
Midfielder Jude Bellingham, who returned to action for Real Madrid after a shoulder operation in July, was also not included. The 22-year-old has been sidelined for several months due to the long-standing injury.
Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, who missed last month’s squad through a hamstring injury, has returned to the England team.
