A fire broke out at the Ayesha Clothing Limited factory, a concern of the Palmal Group, located in the Jamgora area of Ashulia, Dhaka, on Monday.
According to the witnesses, the fire originated around 12:15pm at the factory located opposite to Fantasy Kingdom in Ashulia.
Rafi Al Faruk, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) control room, said that three units from the Zirabo Fire Station and three from DEPZ rushed to the spot and are currently active to extinguish the flames.
So far, no casualties have been reported. Further details will be shared later, he said.
At present, authorities have not confirmed the cause of the fire or assessed the full extent of the damage.
