BNP has finalised candidates for 237 out of 300 seats for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Elections scheduled to be held in the first half of February of next year. The entire list of candidates can be accessed here.
The decision was made during an emergency meeting of the party’s standing committee. Party Chairperson Khaleda Zia will contest from Dinajpur-3, Bogura-7, and Feni-1, and acting chairman Tarique Rahman will contest from Bogura-6.
Prior to this, members of the BNP’s highest policy-making forum, the standing committee, held an emergency meeting in the afternoon. The meeting, which lasted for about five hours, was chaired virtually from London by BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman.
