Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Khondkar Misbah ul Azim and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan met the President at Bangabhaban in the afternoon.
They congratulated the President on assuming office and conveyed their best wishes.
The three service chiefs briefed the President on the activities of their respective services and sought his guidance and cooperation as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces in carrying out their responsibilities.
President Mirza Fakhrul expressed satisfaction with the activities of the Armed Forces and said the incumbent government is working to develop the forces into a modern and four-dimensional force.
The President assured the service chiefs that he would continue to provide the highest level of support during his tenure to enhance the professional capabilities of Armed Forces personnel and ensure the overall development of the Armed Forces.
