During the raid, Coast Guard members seized 13.5 kilograms of venison, a deer’s head, four legs, a deer-hunting trap net, 18 kilograms of illegal crabs, five litres of poison and two boats.

Coast Guard media officer Lieutenant Rafid-As-Sami confirmed the matter, saying the arrests were made based on secret information about a group engaged in deer and crab poaching inside the forest.

The seized venison, crabs, poison, trap nets, boats and other evidence, along with the detainees, have been handed over to the Chandpai Forest Office for further legal action.
