The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has removed around 23,791 tonnes of Qurbani waste from different areas under its jurisdiction over the past two days.
A press release from DSCC said the waste was transported and dumped at the Matuail landfill.
It said 14,814 tonnes of Qurbani waste were disposed of at the landfill by 11:59pm on the day of Eid-ul-Adha.
On the second day, another 8,977 tonnes of waste were removed and dumped at the same facility by 11:59pm.
