A new OTT platform, ‘Doel’, has officially entered Bangladesh’s growing digital entertainment market.
More than 10 OTT platforms currently operating in the country and audiences continue to expand. In this scenario, Doel aims to carve out its own space in the sector.
The platform launched at a colourful inauguration ceremony at the Ruposhi Bangla Grand Ballroom of Hotel InterContinental in Dhaka on Monday, January 26.
The programme began with an opening address by Doel’s Managing Director, Zahin Hossain. A highlight of the evening was a musical performance by celebrated singer Sabina Yasmin, who sang the final song written by the late lyricist Gazi Mazharul Anwar.
During the event, Doel CEO Fahmidul Islam Shantanu presented the platform’s vision, programming approach, and founding journey, outlining its core objectives. The ceremony also featured a magic performance by magician Jewel Aich, followed by stage appearances by child artistes.
