The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested a fugitive, Anisur Rahman alias Humayun, 55, who is wanted in six warrant cases, during a raid in the capital’s Shantinagar residential area.
The arrest was confirmed in a press release issued by DMP on Wednesday.
According to CTTC sources, acting on a tip-off, a team from Research and Development (R&D) division conducted a drive under Paltan Police Station around 3:30 pm on Tuesday and apprehended Anisur.
The arrestee has six warrants against him, including five conviction warrants and one general warrant.
Legal proceedings against the arrested accused are currently underway.
