Barcelona escaped with a draw in Belgium after a wild night of football. Club Brugge played with heart and energy. They pushed Barcelona to their limit and held them to a 3-3 draw in the Champions League. Hansi Flick’s team had to chase the game again and again.

Brugge shocked Barcelona early. They scored within six minutes. Nicolo Tresoldi finished a fast move from Carlos Forbs. The hosts played with great intensity. Barcelona looked uncomfortable. But Ferran Torres brought them back with a calm finish, set up by Fermin Lopez.

Even after the goal, Barcelona’s defence looked weak. Forbs kept breaking past their high line. He scored again midway through the first half. Barcelona tried to answer. Lopez hit the post. Kounde and Eric Garcia both struck the woodwork. They could not take control in a frantic start.

Then Lamine Yamal changed the mood. The 17-year-old beat defenders with ease. He played a quick one-two with Lopez and scored the equaliser. The stadium watched in awe. His style and confidence reminded many of Lionel Messi.

But Brugge refused to back down. Forbs continued to trouble Barcelona with his pace and direct runs. He ran on to a pass from Hans Vanaken and chipped the ball over Wojciech Szczesny for his second goal. VAR later denied his chance for a hat-trick after a penalty call was overturned.

Barcelona equalised again when Yamal sent in a curling cross. The ball hit Christos Tzolis and went into the net. The drama grew. Brugge thought they had won it when Romeo Vermant scored. VAR stepped in once more. The goal was cancelled for a foul on Szczesny.

The match ended level. Barcelona looked shaky in defence and left with many problems to solve. Brugge walked off proud but unhappy. They led three times and still did not win. Both teams finished with similar numbers. The result showed that Barcelona still have a lot to fix if they want to make an impact in this tournament.
