China’s Handa industries to invest $150m in Bangladesh’s RMG

Handa Industries Limited, a renowned China-based apparel manufacturing company specialising in the production of superior-quality knitted textiles, dyeing processes, and garments on a global scale, will invest $150 million in Bangladesh.

They will invest $100 million in the textile and dyeing sectors within the economic zone, and $50 million in the garment industry under the export processing zone, according to a statement on the official Facebook page of the Chief Adviser’s Office.

To this end, Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, Executive Chairman of BIDA and BEZA, and Heng Zeli, Chairman of Handa (Dhaka) Textile Co Ltd, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of their respective sides at a hotel in the city.
