Career Pro BD has celebrated Cybersecurity Awareness Month with a youth-focused campaign in collaboration with the ICT Division and sponsorship from Amber IT, aiming to build a safer digital environment through education and awareness.
The initiative aligns with the global observance of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, launched by the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and supported by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), encouraging countries to promote digital safety each October.
A flagship event titled “ICT Division Presents Cybersecurity and Social Awareness Program 2025 powered by Amber IT” was held on Wednesday at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). With the theme “Let’s Build a Better Cyber Society,” the session trained young participants in basic cybersecurity practices and responsible digital behaviour.
Around 400 AIUB students took part, including nearly 300 who pre-registered online. Organisers said all participants would receive e-certificates from Career Pro BD. The event marked the campaign’s fourth consecutive year and was supported by AIUB Computer Hub, OSA AIUB, Uni Global, and Ahmed Foods.
Speaking as the special guest, ICT Division Hi-Tech Park Authority Project Director Manzur Mohammad Shahriar said such programmes are timely. “The government is adopting multifaceted steps to enhance cybersecurity through new laws and regulations. Awareness initiatives like this strengthen our collective resilience,” he said.
AIUB Vice Chancellor Professor Saiful Islam, Career Pro BD Advisor Laila Nazneen, Trainers’ Association of Bangladesh President K M Hasan Ripon, and cybersecurity expert G M Faruk Ahmed were among the guests, alongside professionals from Amber IT, Synesis IT, Texas Team Group, and Creative Business Group took part in the sessions.
Organisers said Career Pro BD remains committed to developing youth capacity in digital safety and responsible online engagement, helping shape a smarter and more secure cyber society in Bangladesh.
