Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) organised a post-Eid greetings and exchange of views ceremony with journalists from leading national newspapers and television channels, the university said in a statement.
The event was held on the initiative of Vice Chancellor ABM Shawkat Ali and managed by the university’s Public Relations (PR) Department. The Registrar and deans of various faculties were also present.
The gathering featured a discussion between the university administration and media representatives, including campus journalists. Topics covered included higher education, advanced research, and contemporary academic affairs.
Journalists in attendance expressed appreciation for BUBT’s contributions to higher education, particularly highlighting the university’s recent academic achievements, innovations, and progress in information technology and research.
Senior media representatives acknowledged that through quality education and continuous research, BUBT has established itself as one of the finest educational institutions of the present era.
Vice Chancellor ABM Shawkat Ali thanked the attendees and said, “The role of the media in improving the standards of education and research at the university is undeniable.”
“To advance the country as a whole and to build the younger generation into skilled human resources, we must all work together side by side. This collective effort of journalists and academics will carry our beloved country forward,” he added.
The PR Department’s Deputy Director, Zeenat Zoarder Ripa, expressed thanks to all invited guests at the conclusion of the ceremony, noting that the active participation of everyone present made the event meaningful and successful.
