Kaizer Sohel Ahmed, managing director and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited, is set to visit the United Kingdom to attend Farnborough International Airshow 2026.
He will be accompanied by four directors from the national flag carrier, with the total expenditure for the trip estimated at nearly Tk50 lakh.
According to official documentation, the visit received approval from chairman of Biman Board of Directors on Sunday.
Sohel is scheduled to depart Dhaka for the UK soon, and is expected to leave the UK for Dhaka on 25 July.
The sources state that all expenses for the journey will be borne entirely by Biman. The period of the visit and the time spent travelling will be treated as on-duty for the officials involved.
The permission for the managing director’s visit was circulated via an official letter signed by Omme Kulsum, manager personnel at Biman.
Two official letters have reportedly been issued regarding the delegation’s participation in the prestigious international aviation event.
