The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced a series of committee appointments during the second emergency meeting of its newly elected Board of Directors on Monday.
BCB president Tamim Iqbal Khan was named chairman of the Working Committee. He will also lead the Facilities Management Committee.
Fahim Sinha took charge of the Game Development Committee. He was also appointed chairman of the BPL Governing Council. Masuduzzaman will serve as vice chairman of the BPL body.
Shanian Taneem Naveen was given two key roles. He will head both the Grounds Committee and the High Performance Committee.
Former Bangladesh captain Minhajul Abedin was appointed chairman of the Age Group Committee. Md Sharforaj Ahmed was named vice chairman. The BCB later clarified the vice chairman’s name after an earlier error in the media release.
Masuduzzaman will lead the Marketing Committee, with Asif Rabbani as vice chairman. Abdul Quiyum Choudhury was named chairman of the Disciplinary Committee, while Mirza Faisal Amin will serve as vice chairman.
Md Rafiqul Islam Babu was appointed chairman of the Women’s Wing Committee. Israfil Khosru will head the Finance Committee and also work as vice chairman of the Logistics and Protocol Committee.
Sirajuddin Md Alamgir will lead the Tournament Committee. SM Abdullah Al Fuad was named vice chairman. Fuad will also serve as chairman of the Physically Challenged Committee.
Asif Rabbani was appointed chairman of the Media and Communication Committee. Moyeen Uddin Chowdhury will head the CCDM Committee.
The board also accepted the resignation of Mir Shakrul Alam Simanto from the Board of Directors.
Several development projects at the Sher e Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur received approval during the meeting.
The board approved the construction of a swimming pool and new gym facilities. It also approved plans to install shade structures and renovate toilet facilities in the general gallery.
The BCB will purchase a team bus for the Bangladesh national cricket teams.
The board also approved work to upgrade the two main dressing rooms, the players’ dining room and the viewing areas at the Mirpur stadium.
