Barcelona reclaimed top spot in La Liga with a comfortable 3-0 victory against Levante at Camp Nou on Sunday, 22 February 2026. The win moves Hansi Flick’s side a point ahead of Real Madrid, who fell 2-1 to Osasuna on Saturday.
Marc Bernal and Frenkie de Jong gave Barcelona a commanding first-half lead. Bernal opened the scoring after Joao Cancelo and Eric Garcia combined well on the left flank, while De Jong doubled the advantage shortly before the interval. Substitute Fermin Lopez sealed the win late with a sensational long-range strike that rattled in off the post.
The victory was a morale boost following a 4-0 Copa del Rey semi-final loss to Atletico Madrid and a 2-1 La Liga defeat to Girona earlier this week. Despite Flick’s calls for defensive improvement, Levante’s poor finishing meant Barcelona remained in control throughout.
Joao Cancelo impressed on a rare start after joining on loan in January, while Robert Lewandowski squandered a clear opportunity. Pedri returned from a hamstring injury as a substitute, offering fresh options for the weeks ahead.
