A 15-member Bangladeshi cultural troupe, comprising musicians, dance and vocal artists, and representatives of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, has arrived in Islamabad, according to a press release issued by the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka on Friday.
Renowned Bangladeshi painter and printmaker Md Abdus Satter is also part of the delegation. During the visit, the artists will showcase Bangladeshi culture through performances at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) and Lok Virsa.
The visit was arranged in line with Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s decision to promote cultural exchanges between the two countries.
In this regard, a Cultural Exchange Programme was signed during Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar’s visit to Bangladesh last year.
