Ashraf Hossain Milan Bhuiyan, general secretary of Bangladesh Newspaper Transport and proprietor of Bhuiyan Transport, has passed away.
He breathed his last on Tuesday (25 August) at approximately 6:45pm while undergoing treatment for an incurable disease at a hospital in the capital.
His passing has cast a shadow of profound grief over the newspaper transport sector and related circles. TIMES of Bangladesh family has expressed deep shock and sorrow at his demise.
Late Ashraf Hossain Milan Bhuiyan had been involved in the newspaper transport sector for a long period. As the General Secretary of Bangladesh Newspaper Transport, he played a vital role in representing the interests and addressing various issues of those involved in the sector.
He was also a well-known figure in the business community as the proprietor of Bhuiyan Transport.
His first Namaz-e-Janaza was held at 10:30pm on 25 August in Rampura in the capital. The second Janaza prayer was held on Wednesday (26 August) after Zuhr prayers at his native village in Nandail, Mymensingh. He will be laid to rest in accordance with his family’s decision.
At the time of his death, he left behind his wife, a son, a daughter, and a host of relatives, colleagues, well-wishers, and admirers. His family, relatives, colleagues, and associates in the newspaper transport sector have expressed their deep condolences and grief.
