The swearing-in ceremony for the new cabinet will be held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban South Plaza instead of the traditional venue, Bangabhaban.
According to sources from Bangabhaban, the Jatiya Sangsad, and BNP MPs-elect, the oath-taking for elected members of parliament (MPs) will take place on Tuesday morning, followed by the ministers’ swearing-in ceremony in the afternoon.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin will administer the oath to the newly elected MPs, while President Mohammed Shahabuddin will conduct the swearing-in of the ministers.
The decision to move the ceremony to the South Plaza was reportedly made due to space constraints at Bangabhaban, where it is difficult to accommodate more than 600 guests.
With over 1,000 invitations already issued and the possibility of the guest list expanding further, the larger venue at the National Parliament was selected to host the event.
