Ferdous Ara, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) of Bancharampur in Brahmanbaria, has passed away. She died at a private hospital in the capital Dhaka around 7am on Wednesday while undergoing treatment.
According to Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Ranjan Chandra Dey, Ferdous Ara felt ill at her workplace on Monday due to a migraine. She was later brought to Dhaka for advanced treatment and admitted to a private hospital, where she died.
She was an officer of the 36th BCS (Administration) cadre. Prior to this, she served at the Brahmanbaria District Commissioner’s office.
Deputy Commissioner Sharmin Akhter Jahan has expressed condolences over the death of UNO Ferdous Ara.
