Los Angeles-based Bangladeshi musician Arzeen has released his latest single ‘Bhalobasha Dibi Kina Bol’, blending indie pop with folk influences rooted in Bengali music traditions.
The track was first released as an audio single on January 21, followed by its official music video on February 27.
Written, composed and performed by Arzeen, the song is produced by Abrar Fahim and Emmanuel Ventura-Cruess. The accompanying music video, directed by Ahsabul Yamin, presents a layered narrative centred on love, distance and emotional connection in a digital age.
The story follows a couple navigating a long-distance relationship, where a man sends a humanoid robot as a companion for his partner. As the robot’s emotional capacity is gradually increased, it begins to develop human-like sensitivity, leading to an unexpected emotional bond.
When the man returns, the now self-aware robot experiences love, jealousy and internal conflict, adding a speculative dimension to the romantic narrative.
The video stars Arzeen alongside Humaira Snigdha and was filmed at Jahangirnagar University. Musically, the track features contributions from flautist Ayon Islam Oli, with additional instrumentation including cello and mandolin by Ventura-Cruess.
Arzeen has steadily built an international profile with his cross-cultural sound. His earlier works, including ‘Prem De’ and ‘Kalakala’, have gained traction across platforms, while his music has also featured in mainstream Bengali cinema.
