Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi has sold a commercial shop in Mumbai’s Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri West, for ₹6.25 crore, nearly 14 years after purchasing the property for just over ₹2.12 crore.
According to the Hindustan Times, which cited property registration documents accessed through real estate data analytics firm Liases Foras, the transaction was registered on 1 July 2026. The property is located on the ground floor of Grenville Co-operative Housing Society Ltd in the Lokhandwala Complex area of Andheri West.
The registered documents show that the commercial unit has a carpet area of 63.87 square metres (684 square feet). The buyer, identified as Umang Rajkumar Budhraja, purchased the shop for ₹6.25 crore. The transaction attracted a stamp duty of ₹37.50 lakh and was registered with the Maharashtra Inspector General of Registration on 1 July 2026.
Based on the registered sale value, the deal works out to nearly ₹91,400 per square foot on the carpet area.
The records also show that Warsi acquired the property in February 2012 for more than ₹2.12 crore. At the time, he paid stamp duty of more than ₹10 lakh, along with ₹30,000 as registration fees.
Arshad Warsi is known for his work in Hindi cinema and has appeared in popular films including Munna Bhai MBBS, Golmaal, Dhamaal and Jolly LLB. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has earned recognition for both his comic and dramatic performances.
Lokhandwala Complex has developed into one of Mumbai’s leading high-street retail hubs, with restaurants, cafés, boutiques, salons, fitness centres and premium retail outlets. The locality attracts affluent residents from Lokhandwala, Versova, Oshiwara and nearby parts of Andheri West. Limited availability of ground-floor commercial spaces has supported steady growth in property values and rental demand over the years.
