World champions Argentina national football team will complete their preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup with two international friendlies against Honduras national football team and Iceland national football team in the United States, the Argentine Football Association confirmed on Thursday.
Argentina will face Honduras on 6 June at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, before taking on Iceland on 9 June at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama.
Led by captain Lionel Messi, Argentina are fine-tuning their squad ahead of the World Cup, which begins on 11 June across the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The South American side have been drawn in Group J, where they will meet Austria, Algeria and Jordan in the opening phase of the tournament.
Argentina will begin their title defence on 16 June against Algeria national football team.
