An Argentina supporter has filed a complaint after a Facebook post showed him wearing a Brazil jersey.
Ohidur Rahman Ontu lodged the complaint with Keshabpur Police Station Monday night against one Rasel Babu.
According to the complaint, Ontu, a resident of Mulgram in Keshabpur upazila, posted a photo of himself in an Argentina jersey on 12 June during the World Cup opening.
Rasel allegedly used AI technology to alter the image, replacing the jersey with Brazil’s colours, and reposted it on Facebook. Ontu, angered by the act, filed a defamation case.
Ontu said he had repeatedly asked Rasel to remove the edited photo, but he refused.
Keshabpur Police Station Officer‑in‑charge Roksana Khatun confirmed receiving the complaint. “We have received allegations of jersey alteration using AI technology. Legal action will be taken after investigation,” she said.
