Abul Hasnat Muhammad Anwar Pasha has been appointed as the Director General (DG) of the National Identity Registration Wing (NID) under the Election Commission (EC).
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Sunday, signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Nur-E-Alam, in this regard.
He previously served as Additional Secretary of the Planning Division.
Earlier, on 13 April, the former NID Director General ASM Humayun Kabir was attached to the Ministry of Public Administration through a separate notification.
