Women entrepreneurs affiliated with Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CWCCI) will receive support to showcase and sell their products in international markets through digital commerce platforms, including alibaba.com.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed between CWCCI and Springfield Corporation, an official channel partner of Alibaba.com, at the CWCCI seminar hall on Monday.
Senior Vice-President of CWCCI Lutmila Farid signed the agreement on behalf of the chamber’s president, while Managing Director of Springfield Corporation Md Faizul Alam signed on behalf of his organisation.
Under the agreement, CWCCI’s women entrepreneurs will have opportunities to join international digital platforms such as alibaba.com and promote their products to buyers in global markets.
The initiative is also expected to strengthen the entrepreneurs’ capacity in digital trade by providing training, technical assistance and other necessary support for participating in international e-commerce.
