Salesforce has launched MuleSoft Agent Fabric, a platform to discover, orchestrate, govern, and observe AI agents across vendors and systems, aiming to reduce “agent sprawl” and provide a single control plane for multi-agent workflows.
Early customers adopting the platform include Barco, r.Potential, Rush University System for Health, and Wynn and Encore Las Vegas.
Enterprise adoption of AI agents is projected to surge 327% over the next two years, with 40% of enterprise applications expected to embed agents within a year.
MuleSoft Agent Fabric integrates four core capabilities: a Registry to catalog agents and tools for reuse, an intelligent Broker to route tasks across domains and large language models, Governance to enforce security, compliance, and policy controls, and a Visualizer to map agent connections, decisions, and performance.
The platform also extends Salesforce’s Agentforce, coordinating third-party agents that operate outside Agentforce.
Salesforce said the solution enables complex automations such as mortgage processing, real-time supply-chain responses, and partner and employee onboarding, all under auditable guardrails.
“The strategic challenge isn’t building a single agent, but enabling all of them to work together. MuleSoft Agent Fabric gives every organization the ability to govern and orchestrate all their agents in a cohesive and trusted way,” Andrew Comstock, SVP and GM of MuleSoft, said.
“As AI agents become critical in processes that drive our day-to-day business operations, governance and transparency are non-negotiable. MuleSoft Agent Fabric provides the guardrails we need to adopt AI responsibly and securely, without slowing down innovation,” Joris Diependaele, Head of Integration and AI at Barco, said.
