Milestone tragedy: Teacher injured in plane crash discharged from hospital

Nishi Akter, a teacher who was injured in the Milestone plane crash, has been discharged from the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (NIBPS).

She returned home on Sunday from the hospital after recovering from her injuries.

At a press conference in the institute, Joint Director Associate Professor Dr Md Maruful Islam stated that Nishi Akter underwent 21 surgeries, including skin grafting at the wound sites. He added that the institute currently has 21 patients admitted, all of whom are students, with 2–3 in critical condition.

Expressing her gratitude, Nishi Akter thanked the doctors, nurses, and staff at the institute, saying, “They have provided continuous and dedicated care from the very beginning.”
