July Uprising Day: Mercantile Bank launches tree plantation programme

Mercantile Bank PLC launched tree plantation programme at the proposed Mercantile Bank General Hospital premises in Uttara, Dhaka, on August 6, marking the observance of July Declaration and Uprising Day-2025.

The programme was inaugurated by the bank’s Managing Director Mati Ul Hasan, who attended as the chief guest.

The event was also graced by Deputy Managing Directors Md Zakir Hossain, Shamim Ahmed, and Ashim Kumar Saha, along with senior executives including SEVPs Shah Md. Sohel Khurshid and Mohammad Iqbal Rezwan, VPs Md. Salahuddin Khan, Md. Shah Jamal, Abul Kashem Mohammad Fazlul Haque, Md. Mukitul Kabir, and other officials, says a press release.

The initiative aims to promote environmental sustainability and enhance community engagement, further strengthening the bank’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.
