Country music singer Nicole Taylor, a member of the trio Taylor Red, has died at 35 following a years-long fight against breast cancer, writes Deadline.
Her sisters and bandmates, Nika and Natalie Taylor, announced her death in an emotional tribute.
Nicole died on 28 September 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee. Her family later held a private funeral service.
In a video shared after her death, Nika and Natalie remembered their sister as a fearless leader and their closest friend.
They said they were devastated by the loss but found comfort in knowing that her suffering had ended.
Nicole received a diagnosis of aggressive stage 3 breast cancer in 2022. She initially responded well to treatment, with doctors finding no evidence of the disease at one point.
However, the cancer eventually returned and progressed to stage 4.
Following the recurrence, doctors reportedly gave her just three months to live. Nicole went on to spend approximately another year with her family, refusing to let the illness take away her determination to live fully.
She continued travelling, staying active and even practising CrossFit while undergoing chemotherapy.
Her sisters said Nicole remained hopeful throughout the difficult period and approached life with remarkable courage.
Born on 18 March 1991, Nicole began her musical journey with her identical triplet sisters in 2010, when they formed a group called Red Roots.
They released their self-titled debut album in 2011, followed by ‘The Middle of Nowhere’ in 2012 and ‘Triplicity’ in 2014. The trio later changed its name to Taylor Red.
The group reached a wider audience with its 2021 song ‘Country Money’, which gained popularity on TikTok. The sisters also attracted online attention through their music, performances and videos highlighting their identical appearance.
A talented vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Nicole played guitar, banjo and violin. The trio performed more than 1,000 shows and worked with several commercial brands.
Nicole also served as a radio host on the ‘Taste of Country’ morning show.
In their tribute, Nika and Natalie thanked the medical professionals who cared for Nicole and the people who supported their family during her illness.
They remembered her not only as a musical partner but also as the person who led and held their family together.
