Bangladeshi media professional Sadek Sabbir has joined the Technical Jury of Rio WebFest 2026, an international festival that celebrates web-based productions and digital storytelling. His invitation gives him a role in evaluating digital content from around the world.
According to The Daily Star, the 2026 edition is expected to feature around 300 selected entries competing across more than 80 categories. The festival recognises achievements in web series and other digital productions, with winners receiving the Zé Trophy, its official award.
The jury will assess entries in designated categories through an online evaluation process. Each member will review a curated selection of content, and the organisers expect the assessment process to conclude within 20 days.
The festival’s official rules state that its Technical Jury comprises at least 50 invited professionals from Brazil and abroad. Members assess selected works online, using submitted content and the festival’s evaluation criteria.
