A case has been filed over the death of former Bangladesh Air Force Flight Lieutenant KM Tahsif Souri. His father, Enayetul Karim, lodged the case with Uttarkhan Police Station in the capital.
Deputy Commissioner (Uttara Division) of Police Md Rezaul Karim said unidentified individuals have been named as accused in the case.
He added that the case was filed over allegations that Tahsif was murdered and that his body was dumped in a river to conceal the crime.
Meanwhile, the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) handed over Shahriar Reza Dwip, Tahsif’s business partner and friend, to the River Police in connection with the incident.
The River Police took Dwip into custody from the PBI for questioning. He will be produced before a court today, DC Rezaul said.
Former army officers are scheduled to visit Tahsif’s residence at around 11am.
