Actress Jaya Ahsan is joining the ninth season of cooking reality show Shera Radhuni, taking over the judging role previously held by Purnima.
Jaya confirmed her participation in a video message. Although she has experience judging reality competitions, this will be her first time serving as a judge on a cooking-based show.
“I will be a judge on season nine of the cooking reality show Shera Radhuni. The programme is for people who love cooking and those who dream of building something through it. For 20 years, Sera Radhuni has been changing the lives of aspiring cooks. I look forward to meeting them on the show,” Jaya said.
Professional chefs Shuvabrota Maitra and Shahid Shahin will join Jaya on the judging panel.
Registration for the ninth season is already under way and will remain open until 15 November.
The winner will receive prize money of Tk15 lakh. Maasranga Television will broadcast the programme.
Purnima, who served as a judge in several previous seasons, has recently become the subject of pregnancy rumours after appearing on a reality show last Friday.
A video from the programme fuelled speculation, but the actress has not commented on the reports.
Jaya’s appointment marks a new chapter for Shera Radhuni as the programme prepares to welcome a fresh group of cooking enthusiasts.
