Shah Rukh Khan is not worried about the Hollywood competition surrounding the release of his upcoming film ‘King’. Instead, the superstar has found a playful way to describe where he thinks his film stands in December’s crowded box-office calendar, states NDTV.

‘King’ is scheduled to hit cinemas on 24 December, around the same period as Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Dune: Part Three’. During his latest #AskSRK session on X on Tuesday, a fan asked whether the release date could change because of the two major Hollywood films.

The question compared ‘King’ to the filling in a sandwich, but Shah Rukh turned the comparison into a joke. “Not at all….Baaki bread pieces ka bhi toh socho….hum toh center ki tasty Tikki hain,” he replied.

The actor also gave fans an update on the film’s progress, revealing that injuries during the shoot had forced the production to stop and restart several times. However, he said he has now recovered and the film is nearing completion.

“Had a few injuries while shooting so had to start stop many times but now all broken is fixed…and nearly all done…so all good,” Shah Rukh wrote.

When another fan asked what he was most excited to show audiences in ‘King’, the actor said he wanted viewers to enjoy every element of the film rather than highlighting just one.

“Everything in King …worked very hard to entertain as many as possible. The action the songs the actors and of course my hair!!!” he said.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘King’ stars Shah Rukh Khan alongside Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi and Raghav Juyal.
