Five more people have died of dengue, while 1,110 new patients have been hospitalised across Bangladesh in the 24 hours until 8am on Wednesday.
With the latest fatalities, the country’s dengue death toll has risen to 107 this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The new deaths were reported in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), Mymensingh division and Barishal division.
Of the latest fatalities, two deaths were recorded in DNCC and two in Mymensingh division.
Since January 1, a total of 38,280 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country.
Of them, 35,433 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
