BUBT hosts Islamic Seminar, Seerat Mahfil on Eid-e-Miladunnabi

Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) organised an Islamic Seminar and Seerat Mahfil 2026 on Wednesday to mark Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH).

According to the press release, the programme commenced at 10am at the International Conference Hall of BUBT, focussing on the life, teachings, and noble ideals of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

Hafez Maulana Mufti Delowar Hossain, Shaikhul Hadith, Jameya Hossainia Darul Arkam, Mirpur-11, and Khatib, Banani Central Jame Mosque and Masjidul Ferdous, Mirpur-2, graced the programme as the chief guest.

In his address, he highlighted the importance of adhering to the noble life and teachings of the Prophet, emphasising truth, justice, compassion, good character, and peaceful coexistence as the core values of his teachings.

The session was chaired by BUBT Vice Chancellor Prof Dr ABM Shawkat Ali. He emphasised the critical integration of moral and human values in education, saying that academic pursuits must extend beyond mere textbook knowledge to help students cultivate integrity, compassion, responsibility, and respect for others.

He urged the student body to follow the exemplary teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to serve society with honesty and humanity.

Earlier, BUBT Registrar Dr Md Harun-or-Rashid delivered the welcome address, while BUBT Department of Economics Professor and Chairman Dr Md Mahmudul Hasan presented the vote of thanks.

The Seerat Mahfil and Seminar featured comprehensive discussions on the life, character, teachings, and contributions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The event was widely attended by BUBT faculty members, officers, staff, and students.
