Janata Bank Managing Director Mazibur Rahman has directed the bank’s top management to focus on increasing low-cost deposits, boosting foreign remittance and recovering classified and written-off loans to strengthen the bank’s financial position.
The instructions came at the Asset-Liability Management Committee meeting held on Monday at the bank’s head office, said a press release.
Deputy Managing Director Kazi Abdur Rahman, along with general managers and deputy general managers, attended the meeting online.
Rahman provided guidance on determining strategies aligned with the current economic situation and emphasised the importance of recovering non-performing loans and written-off loans.
