Meghna Life Insurance has approved a 15 per cent cash dividend for its shareholders at the company’s 30th annual general meeting held virtually on Thursday.
The dividend was unanimously approved for the financial year 2025, said a press release.
Chairman Nizam Uddin Ahmed presided over the meeting. Vice-Chairman Nasir Uddin Ahmed, directors Riaz Uddin Ahmed, Jannatul Ferdous, Zahid Anwar Khan, Moeen Uddin, Dilruba Sharmin and Sabita Ferdousi, and acting Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Tarek attended virtually. Company Secretary Enamul Haque Khan conducted the meeting.
The chairman said the company paid Tk 286.78 crore in insurance claims in 2025 and has planned to become more technology-driven and policyholder-friendly.
He expressed gratitude to the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority, the Securities and Exchange Commission, other regulatory bodies, officers, employees, agents, policyholders and shareholders.
