Collective Studios’ Historyverse is developing a new original series on revolutionary Bhagat Singh, promising to explore the man behind the iconic freedom fighter and the experiences that shaped his beliefs.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the series comes in association with Hathiramani Commercial Ventures and will be co-produced by investor and entrepreneur Manish Hathiramani, who is making his producing debut with the project.
Rather than focusing only on the familiar chapters of Bhagat Singh’s life, the series will examine his childhood, formative experiences, intellectual influences and the social and political environment of early 20th-century India. It will trace how these experiences shaped his worldview and transformed him from a young revolutionary into a national figure.
For Hathiramani, the project reflects his interest in exploring lesser-known aspects of Indian history through historically rooted entertainment.
Sudeep Lahiri, Head of Channels and Distribution at Collective Media Network, said the series aims to look beyond the familiar image of Bhagat Singh and examine the young man whose ideas and experiences created the legend.
Hathiramani said he was particularly interested in understanding Bhagat Singh “before the legend” and exploring the different facets of his life and journey.
The series is currently in development. The title, cast and further details will be announced later.
The project joins Historyverse’s growing slate of Indian history and culturally rooted stories, which aims to revisit important figures, traditions and events through contemporary storytelling formats.
