Shwapno has crossed 1,000 outlets nationwide, reaching 1,001 stores as Bangladesh’s largest retail chain expands its footprint and strengthens its lead in the country’s organised retail market.
The milestone makes Shwapno the first supershop chain in Bangladesh to cross the 1,000-outlet mark, the company said on Sunday.
The expansion has been driven by customer demand for convenient access to everyday products, alongside the efforts of its employees, farmers, suppliers and other business partners, the company said.
For Shwapno, the growth is not simply about adding stores. The retailer aims to bring its products and services closer to consumers across different regions while improving product quality, availability, affordability and convenience.
“Reaching 1,001 outlets is an incredibly proud moment for everyone at Shwapno. This achievement does not belong to our company alone; it belongs to every customer, employee, farmer, supplier and business partner who has been part of our journey,” Shwapno Managing Director Sabbir Hasan Nasir said.
“Above all, the trust and loyalty of our customers have always been our greatest strength. We will continue to work towards strengthening that trust by delivering better products, services and shopping experiences,” he said.
Nasir said the future of modern retail would not be determined by network size alone, but by how well retailers understand customer needs, maintain product quality, strengthen supply chains and build long-term relationships with customers.
Shwapno said it will continue expanding its network while focusing on product quality, availability, affordability, service and customer convenience.
The 1,001-outlet network marks a significant expansion of organised retail in Bangladesh, where modern retail chains are seeking to reach consumers beyond the country’s major urban centres.
