Barcelona Femeni beat Bayern Munich Women 4-2 in the second leg on Sunday to reach the Women’s Champions League final with a 5-3 aggregate win.
Barcelona took control early at home. Salma Paralluelo opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Bayern responded within four minutes through Lina Magull, who levelled the tie on the night.
Barcelona regained momentum through structured build-up and quick passing between midfield and the front line. Alexia Putellas restored the lead in the 23rd minute. The hosts stretched Bayern’s defensive line and created space in wide areas.
The second half saw Barcelona increase the tempo. Ewa Pajor added a third in the 56th minute. Putellas struck again three minutes later to make it 4-1, which put the tie out of Bayern’s reach.
Pernille Harder pulled one back in the 72nd minute, but Bayern could not sustain pressure. A late goal was ruled out after a VAR check, which ended any chance of a comeback.
Barcelona reach the final for the sixth consecutive season and the seventh time overall. They have won the competition three times and lost last year’s final to Arsenal Women.
They will face Olympique Lyonnais Women in the final on 23 May. Lyon have won the title eight times and beat Barcelona in the 2022 final.
