Bangladesh T20 captain Litton Das recently shared a video on his official Facebook page, where he was seen wicketkeeping. In the post, the skipper captioned it: “Practice is fun, wicketkeeping is more fun.”
That single video reflects how much Litton enjoys the art of wicketkeeping from behind the stumps. However, compared to his batting and captaincy, his wicketkeeping often receives less discussion.
Litton currently holds the joint-highest number of T20I dismissals for Bangladesh (62), alongside Mushfiqur Rahim, who has retired from the format.
When asked whether he feels he is at the peak of his wicketkeeping, Litton responded on Sunday at the Bir Sreshtho Shahid Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium in Chattogram ahead of the series opener against New Zealand.
“I can’t really say whether I’m at my peak or not. But since I’m keeping in all three formats now,” he said.
With wicketkeeping responsibilities across formats, Litton believes his understanding of the role has improved.
“I think my understanding has improved a bit. Earlier, as you know, I used to field in T20s and ODIs, and keep wickets in Tests. Now I know that my role is wicketkeeping, so I try to give 100% there,” he added.
